The UCC28600DR is a simple and reliable integrated, monolithic, fixed-frequency, pulse-width-modulated switching converter IC from Texas Instruments. It is an Offline Switchers IC from its Power Management IC (PMIC) – AC DC Converters portfolio. The device offers cost-effective power conversion and efficiency from the point-of-load to the line voltage with an integrated driver, enabling both Linear and Base DriveTM MOSFET technologies. It is mainly used for low power applications such as computing, networking, and telecom products, automotive and industrial POL applications, motor control, and AC/DC supplies.

The UCC28600DR is designed to offer low cost, small solution size and low noise frequency synchronization. It operates in such a way that the switching transistor is turned on and off at a predetermined frequency and a fixed on-time and off-time (pulse width). From the input power supply, an inductor is placed in series with the load, decreasing voltage but increasing current and is smoothed by a capacitor.
