In the reset stage once current is reduced that is below the rated level the temperature reduce and process of resoldering takes place allowing the PTC fuse to recover and allow current flow through the contacts. This process repeats each time current exceeds the rated value setting a short circuit interrupting the electric current flow.

The VTP240F satisfies the requirements of IEC60335(Clause 24.a), CQC(CQC1700031) UL(E108132) and TUV(R7160669). It provides a compact and efficient solution for short circuit protection and operates at high speed.
