Film capacitors, also known as polyester film capacitors, are dielectric film capacitors. It is mainly composed of plastic film, metal foil and other components. The basic principle is that plastic film is used as polarization medium, and metal foil is used as pole piece. When the voltage is added between the two pole pieces, electric charge is stored in the capacitor and released when the capacitor is disconnected from the electric circuit. It has an operating frequency range of 68-100kHz and can be used from -40℃ to +85℃.
