The XR3071XID-F is part of the Broadcom family of physical layer components. Specifically, the XR3071XID-F is a member of the Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers which offers a range of solutions for different applications. Furthermore, the XR3071XID-F is capable of handling phase-shift keying (PSK) with various modulation schemes, Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM), Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK), and Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation schemes with either High Definition (HDTV) or Standard Definition (SDTV). It is also designed to be compliant with a number of industry standards, including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), A-T3M3, TSEC/EIA standards, as well as the Ethernet and others not covered in these standards.
The XR3071XID-F works with a variety of common communications protocols, such as asynchronous and synchronous Peripheral Interface (SPI), Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and universal configured I/O (UCI). It also offers features such as burst mode, clock stretching and time slicing at the master and slave levels. Additionally, data exchange can be accomplished using a variety of data transfer modes, including packet- or constant bit-oriented, continuous cyclic, burst and buffer data transfers.
The XR3071XID-F supports an integrated clock synthesizer eliminating the need of external LOs and eliminates the need for on-chip crystal oscillators, reducing the component count, cost, size and power requirements of the design. It also supports a variety of peripheral and programmable logic devices, such as 11-bit (ADC/DAC) converters and Programmable Logic Elements (PLE).
In addition, the XR3071XID-F is dressed with a Link Layer Controller (LLC) that supports multiple data modes and allows configuration of specific parameters to be programmed for each data packet. For example, the LLC can be programmed to select the following: link bit and clock rates; number of data bits transmitted per packet; data packet transfer order; and packet size.
The XR3071XID-F is an ideal solution for a range of applications, including consumer electronics, industrial automation, automotive, internet of things (IoT) and digital video applications.
