The fuse will then automatically reset and restore power to the load when the current has been reduced.The MINISMDC010F-2 achieves its function by utilizing PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) sensor which exhibits an increase in its electrical resistance inversely proportional to the increases in current. When current is higher than normal, the resistance increases and the increased energy generated by the thermal effect causes the fuse to open. When the current decreases, the resistance of the PTC resistors slowly decreases and the PTC Resettable Fuses reset.The MINISMDC010F-2 has the capability to be widely used in different applications including automotive electronics, LED lighting, audio equipment, DC converters, consumer products, controllers and many more.
