8051 microcontroller is one of the popular used processor family in the embedded system application field due to its architecture features, which consist of 8-bit CPU, 128 bytes of RAM, 4K bytes of ROM and 6 8-bit I/O ports. Furthermore, the 8051 microcontroller integrates lots of advanced integrated peripherals: watch dog timer, serial port, comparator, ADC, etc. One of the integrated peripherals is the UART (universal asynchronous receiver and transmitter) which is used to exchange the serial data with other 8051 microcontroller or other equipment.
