0010883262 is a single-compartment male connector with standard horizontal-mount pins from the rectangular connector line of products manufactured by Tyco Electronics. It fits on regular pc boards by way of its two rear prongs that pass through standard axial holes in the card. Working Principle
0010883262 operates on the principle of transmission and reception of data, and uses contact resistance to transfer electricity from one device to another through a medium. It consists of two basic parts: the pin side (male pin) and the socket side (female socket). The pin side consists of eight contact pins, with a flat top and two side tabs that enter through the printed circuit board’s axial holes. Once inserted into the axial holes, the pins make contact with the underside of the board, providing the necessary electrical connection. The socket side consists of eight metal sleeves that are installed in the board itself. The metal sleeves are conductive, and allow electricity to flow between the circuit board and the male pin side. The metal sleeves provide an additional layer of protection, helping to shield the electrical connections from outside interference. The end result is that electricity can flow in and out of the Arduino board quickly and without interruption.
