Flat Flex, Ribbon Jumper Cables

Flat flex, ribbon jumper cables, also known as 0210491080, are flexible flat cables made of parallel insulated wires. Their construction makes them ideal for applications where flexibility, ease of handling and a minimum of wire cross sections are needed. The cable\'s flat construction offers the end user a greatly reduced diameter and that allows the user to easily route them in places where round cables are too large or difficult to maneuver. Furthermore, the flat design allows for maximum conductor exposure for making contact.

Structure

Flat flex, ribbon jumper cables, are constructed of a combination of conductors, insulators, and shielding materials, depending on the application. This one strand of the cable is typically surrounded by an insulating layer of polyurethane, silicone or other soft-coated material, such as Ethylene Tetrafluoroethylene.
