The 0215005.MXF160SPP provides superior current distribution, cycle-after-cycle performance, and line protection for branch circuits and feeders. When connected to a current-carrying conductor, the 0215005.MXF160SPP operates in two stages. The first is an instantaneous response that is activated by high levels of short-circuit current; the second is a delayed response activated by sustained overloads, i.e. overloads lasting longer than the instantaneous response time.
When overloaded, the thermal element is activated and breaks the circuit. The thermal element has a long-term damage curve that results in more efficient dissipation of current. The response time of the 0215005.MXF160SPP is also relatively quick for a time delay fuse, making it ideal for overload protection of sensitive devices. The 0215005.MXF160SPP is suitable for control circuits, motor circuits, and power and heating circuits. The fuse offers a range of benefits including increased system uptime, greater system reliability and cost savings through easier installation and maintenance
The 0215005.MXF160SPP incorporates a small magnetic particle that responds quickly to short-circuit conditions.
