031-6036 is one of the RF coaxial connectors, used to provide electrical continuity between two conduction paths of electric circuits. It consists of two concentric cylindrical conductor sections, called inner conductor and outer conductor, separated by a dielectric insulator material, such as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

Working principle

The 031-6036 is a type of coaxial connectors (RF), used to make radio frequency (RF) connections. The two parts of the connector mate together via an annular smooth plastic element, allowing the inner connector to come into contact with the outer conductor and making the coaxial connection. This design gives the 031-6036 its own characteristic impedance, which allows it to send and receive signals over radio frequencies with high fidelity. The dielectric insert isolates the two mated parts and does not let the outer conductor to make contact with the inner conductor when the connection is made.

The connection between 031-6036 and coaxial cable is also the same as other RF connectors. After attaching the connector, it can be used to send and receive signals according to the needs. It can be connected to electronic devices such as cameras, computers, DVD players, fiber optic cables or satellites. The inner conductor is soldered to the center pin of the RF device, while the outer conductor can be soldered directly to the housing of the device.
