0481002.VXL Application Field and Working Principle

VXL Fuses offer quick-acting protection for overcurrent, short-circuit, and other electrical events. The 0481-002.VXL is a Class RK5 fuse with a voltage rating of 277-volts. It is designed specifically for protecting HVAC equipment, industrial machines, lighting systems, commercial and residential electrical distribution systems, emergency and safety systems, and motors.

VXL fuses feature a self-locking cover to ensure that the contact surfaces are always in the proper position. This also serves the purpose of safeguarding against inadvertent contact with an energized portion of the system. For safety, a fuse holder may be used to protect users from direct contact with the fuse while servicing it.
