Rotary switches, also known as rotary cam switches, are widely used in industrial control applications as well as consumer goods, such as kitchen appliances and telephones. The 08A36-02-1-04S is an example of a multi-pole, multi-throw rotary switch. It is a very common switch due to its wide range of functions and its high reliability.
