Backplane Connectors – DIN 41612 is designed to meet the requirements of high-density connectors in a various of applications. It features reliable and firm connection with vibration resistance, as well as a high-density application. The connectors are mainly used for board-to- board applications, such as in multi-layer boards and in mainframes.
The DIN 41612 is an industry standard for board-to-board connectors. The plug-and-socket assembly comprises a plug with several rows of conductive contacts on a pitch of 2.54mm for the male connectors and a row of sockets for the female connectors, which fit together easily. This allows multiple connectors to be housed in a confined space.
The DIN 41612 cabinet connectors use contact technology for reliable wiring. The contacts are all rated for use up to 15A, 300V. They are rated for temperatures between -40°C and 105°C.
