• Working Principle

The male pins contact the respective parent contacts on the back of the rectangular connector. When the male connector is plugged in, the contacts on the back of the rectangular connector make contact with the respective male pins.

  When the male connector is connected, the communication between the boards is established and data can be sent and received. To ensure the connection is secure, the male pins may be designed to be flush with the housing, making sure that the pins are not exposed during the transfer of data.

  In addition to providing strength and durability, the rectangular headers are also designed for easy installation. This is achieved through two “snap” connections located at either end of the header. These snap connections make sure that the header is securely fastened to the board and eliminates the need for additional tools. This makes the installation process simple and fast.
