Fixed Inductors
Fixed inductors are electrical components that store magnetic energy, and convert electric energy into magnetic energy. They are made up of a wire or series of wires wound around a core, and are typically used in circuits as passive components to provide inductance.
100-103H Application Field and Working Principle
The 100-103H is an inductor with a rating of 10μH (10 microhenries) and a DC resistance of 0.1Ω (ohms). This inductor is commonly used in low-power applications such as amplifiers, stage lighting systems, and portable radios. It’s also sometimes used for EMI shielding, and is capable of handling high current.
The 100-103H works by inducting a voltage when a current circulates through it. It will induce a voltage that is proportional to the number of times the voltage switchs direction along the wire. This property is referred to as self-inductance, and can be used to shape the characteristics of alternating current (AC) circuits.
When the voltage switchs direction, the core of the inductor also switchs polarity, thus causing the voltage and current waveforms to become out of phase. This out of phase relationship is referred to as a “phase shift”. By utilizing this phase shift, the inductor can be used to filter out noise as well as to boost or reduce the strength of an electrical signal.
Inductors are often used in voltage regulator circuits, because they can regulate the rate at which current flows through them. This allows them to effectively control the amount of power supplied to a given device. They can also be used to create a feedback loop in circuits, which allows for more precise and efficient control.
In general, fixed inductors are an important part of any electrical circuit. They are useful for increasing, filtering, or shaping the electrical signals that are transmitted, and provide a great system for regulating electric current. The 100-103H is a great choice of inductor for small voltage regulator circuits and other low-power applications.
