In the reflectance mode, the LCD panel employs an internal prior reflective mirror to reflect the input light. It can reflect up to 60% of the light and produces its image.

OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) Characters and Numeric Modules

Organic Light Emitting Diode or OLED characters and numeric display module are designed to deliver brightly illuminated, high contrast and wide viewing angle display. The OLED module typically consists of OLED pixels which are arranged in a matrix pattern along with the associated electronics. The material used in OLED is made up of three layers including an anode, a light-emitting layer, and a cathode. When the electrical current is passed through the OLED material, it emits light in the form of an image. The OLED display module is thinner, brighter and consumes less power than the other display modules such as LCDs. The OLED display module’s application fields range from portable electronic devices to medical equipment, automotive sector, gaming consoles, etc. Another advantage that OLED has over the LCD is that it does not require any backlights in order to operate, which helps to reduce the using power of OLEDs. Unlike LCDs, OLED displays are always ready for immediate viewing without the need for any warm up time.
