Fixed inductors, which are also known as coils or chokes, are passive electrical components used to introduce inductance to a circuit in order to control current flow. The 105-182KS series are high-performance, surface-mount fixed inductors specifically designed for applications such as DC/DC converters, amplifiers, switching power supplies, audio equipment, and other power circuit applications.

The 105-182KS series inductors feature a wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +125°C, and operate in a wide frequency range up to 5 MHz. The inductance range from 18 nH to 220 nH (1.6 to 200 mA), with tolerance of ±10%. These inductors feature a high self-resonant frequency of 5MHz and high peak current capacity of 1.55A. The series offers a high-Q factor of up to 400, enabling high efficiency performance.

The LE105-182KS series consists of a ferrite core with an etched toroidal inductor wound around it and a protective cover for the parasitic capacitance, providing a long working life and enhanced protection. The windings are laminated to minimize the core volume for higher power handling and also to reduce the inductance ripple due to the core saturation. The low effective series resistance (ESR) of the inductor eliminates the need for additional snubber resistors.

The ferrite core of the 105-182KS series inductor is a special material which provides high impedance to the signal and reduces the magnetic field on the gasket of the inductor to a very low level. This makes the inductor extremely stable and suitable for high-frequency applications, as well as preventing the inductor from providing excessive current to the surrounding parts. The structure of the metallic core limits the energy storage capacity of the inductor and the more insulated core further reduces the risk of noise or interference.

The 105-182KS series inductors also provide excellent heat dissipation, with a 1250V peak voltage rating and high current handling. The inductors are also equipped with a glue marking to indicate the inductance value, making it easier to identify the part during assembly.
