Application Field

1056741-1 RF coaxial connectors are designed to be used for the connection of coaxial cables in a variety of applications. The applications include various industrial and consumer electronics, HVAC systems, aerospace & defence, and medical equipment. These 75 ohm connectors are also used for low-voltage audio/video applications.

The 1056741-1 connectors are designed for use in signal sensitivity and noise reduction, shielding the electromagnetic interference due to the fact that each ends have a std nut and non-slip crimp design which is excellent for providing seismic support and offering maximum grip.

Working Principle

1056741-1 RF coaxial connectors are designed with two components – the outer contact and the inner contact. The outer contact is made up of a female part on one end and a male part on the other end. The inner contact has an inside diameter of 0.109 inches and is used for connecting the center conductor of the coaxial cable. The outer contact is used to connect the outer conductor.

The outer contact is usually made up of a stainless steel body and a plating of gold or silver. The inner contact is composed of brass, silver or nickel which is used in the connector depending on the application. The contacts are either soldered or crimped together to provide mechanical reliability and electrical continuity.

In addition to the electrical properties, the 1056741-1 connectors are designed with a seal in the form of a special O-ring which helps to prevent any form of water from entering the connector. The metallic casing is then sealed with epoxy. This provides environmental protection to the coaxial cable connection.
