Tantalum - Polymer Capacitors are a type of energy storage component that is made up of a layered construction. The core component is a tantalum-containing polymer that is pressed together with a metal foil and a metallic layer which can be a nickel or a gold foil.
The 13030-05KASLT is a two-piece encapsulated, Polarized capacitor. It is designed for use in bypass, coupling, decoupling and low latency applications. The product utilizes two layers of tantalum and two layers of polymer electrodes to build up a structure that can store energy. The two tantalum layers form the core structure of the component, while the two polymer layers act as a dielectric medium between the two tantalized layers. The two end terminals of the capacitor are connected to the two electrodes, one of which is a positive and the other a negative terminal.
The 13030-05KASLT has an extremely low 3-μH inductance. This is because the 240 V peak voltage rating is greater than the average 12V rating.
