PTC (positive temperature coefficient) resettable fuses are useful when fused circuit protection and reset capabilities are needed. 16R250GPR is one such type of PTC resettable fuse which provides exceptionally low current leakage and small temperature rise as compared to traditional resettable fuses. It also offers the functionality of automatic reset of the protective device.The 16R250GPR is a thermal protection component and provides overcurrent protection to electronic circuits and high current applications. It consists of a conductive polymer that is deposited on top of insulating ceramic plates. When a current higher than normal passes through it, the temperature of the polymer rises and causes the resistance of the fuse to increase rapidly. This increases the thermal stress on the fuse and results in opening the fuse link, thus preventing damage to the electronic circuit. Upon removal of the overload, the fuse cools down and the PTC resumes normal operation.This fuse is widely used in a wide range of electronic and electrical products. It is commonly used in automotive, consumer electronics, industrial, and medical applications. The most common application of 16R250GPR is in LED lighting systems, motor drivers, laptop chargers, and light strips. It can also be used in solar power systems, automotive circuits, and other miscellaneous applications.The 16R250GPR is able to handle high voltage and current ratings, and it can provide excellent protection against overcurrents, as well as overvoltage and reverse voltage surges.
