Cooper Bussmann\'s 170M3308 fuse can be used for power distribution, connection to power mains, and branch circuits supplying high inrush loads such as electric motors, transformers, voltage regulators, solenoids, starter motors and inverters, mechanical switching devices, and other applications where in-rush current protection and overcurrent protection are desirable. The Cooper Bussmann 170M3308 fuse series operates on the basis of melting strands of metal which detach pieces of flattened wire when the current through the fuse exceeds a predetermined value.
