The working principle of the 1775512 connectors is highly reliant on solid electrical contact between the connector and the mating component. This is achieved by having ‘tanged’ contacts (often referred to as “tangs”) inside the connectors which are slightly spring-loaded and are held under tension with a latch. This locks the connector to the mating component and provides secure electrical connection. The contact tangs also provide electrical and mechanical vibration resistance and enable the connector to be safely disconnected.The connector’s backshell and coupling nut are fitted in order to provide additional protection against environmental hazards by keeping the contacts and components dust-proof. The contact tanged on the contacts are then inserted into the body of the connector to form a tight fit and secure electrical contact with the mating component.Overall the 1775512 connectors provide superior performance and offer excellent protection against environmental hazards.
