2. Working Principle

Generally speaking, the working principle of Quick Connects, Quick Disconnect Connectors can be divided into two types: electrical connection and mechanical connection. For the electrical connection, it mainly uses electrical contacts to conduct current and serve for power supply and signal transmission; while for the mechanical connection, it uses plugging and clamping to transmit mechanical force and ensure the continuity of the structure. For the electrical connection, the contacts of the connectors are usually square-shaped, and the pins or sockets are generally provided with a push-pull locking function. When the plug is inserted into the socket, the contacts of the two connectors will conduct electricity by introducing the contact surface when the metal pin and the metal socket are in contact. For the mechanical connection, it mainly depends on the normal binding force between the two components that are connected together. When the plug is inserted into the socket, a certain degree of pressure will be generated, which will make the two plug and socket contact surfaces fit tightly. In this case, the mechanical force between the two components will be increased, thus forming a stable mechanical connection.
