This device combines the capabilities of a crimper and press with an operator-friendly design for users of all skill levels.The 1855332-1 crimper is specifically designed for sheet material crimping. These materials are typically seen in the automotive, electronics, and manufacturing industries where consistency and accuracy are necessary for successful product assembly. The application of crimp terminals can occur either through manual or automated processes, making the 1855332-1 crimper an ideal addition to industrial automation projects.The body of the 1855332-1 applicator is composed of a hardened cast alloy, which helps to ensure the durability and life of the device. Setting the crimps on the device is accomplished through a simple and intuitive die-adjustment system located under the applicator\'s handle. This system is protected by a safety guard for additional security. The die insert is mounted near the main body of the device, allowing for easy access when changing crimp sizes.Within the main body of the 1855332-1 applicator lies a plunger which is responsible for providing the necessary force to set crimp terminals. The plunger is operated manually by the user and upon activation it forces the dies to come together, crimping the selected terminal. The press is designed with a safety valve which will cease operation when it is physically blocked. This product is well suited for tight spaces as the handle can be pivoted up to 90o from the main body of the applicator.When setting crimps with the 1855332-1 applicator, the user will place the selected terminal into the lower portion of the applicator body. The terminal should fit snugly within the dies and will remain in position during the crimping process. The user then presses down on the plunger and as the plunger extends, the dies will come together compressing the terminal. The process is complete when the plunger reaches its maximum extension and the crimp is consistent and secure with the wire/cable.The 1855332-1 applicator is an excellent solution for a wide range of applications that require precise, consistent, and reliable crimping.
