Terminal Blocks - Accessories
A terminal block is a type of electrical connector used to fasten individual electrical wires. Some models, particularly those designed for high-voltage applications, also include removable covers to protect the terminals from dirt and dust. The working principle of a terminal block is simple and straightforward. Each wire is terminated with a terminal, which is then inserted into the desired location in the block. This terminal is then secured in place with a locking mechanism, such as a screw or a thumbscrew. Once the terminal is secure, a current passes from the terminal to an appropriate conductor, such as a busbar or a ground.
