2007804-2 Backplane Connectors are used in special applications like down to 4.2mm pitch and can support as high as 35gbps data rate. It is a “pin-in-hole” contact system which offers very reliable and low insertion loss connection for logic signal and power applications. It is used for a wide range of backplane and daughter board applications including DDR3 SDRAM, SAS, SATA, PCIe, GPIB, Voice, RF, and high speed logic interfaces. This type of high speed connector system uses a standard pin-in-hole connection methodology. The pin to hole contact system offers high contact density with efficient heat dissipation. The standard approach for these connectors is to use through-hole pins to attach to the daughter cards, in addition to reverse-mounted Tee contacts for signal insertion. The contact system of the 2007804-2 connectors is designed to provide reliable and low insertion loss connections for speed and power.In order to ensure reliability and low insertion loss, the contact system is designed to meet rigorous mating and un-mating requirements. The reverse Tee contacts minimize insertion forces and ensure reliable strain relief of the mating pins. The pins are designed to have adequate electrical spacing between each other, while at the same time ensuring that the pins will not come into contact with each other during mating. The contactsare also designed with a larger contact point which reduces deformation of the contact post and provides a larger contact surface area for improved contact reliability.The 2007804-2connectors also feature a unique board-to-board circuit system which allows for a reduced profile on the daughter card. This reduces the overall cost of the system by decreasing the necessary space on the board, as well as reducing the weight of the product. Additionally, the reverse Tee contact design allows for a more efficient signal transfer as the signal is not forced through the connections.Because the 2007804-2Backplane Connectors are manufactured to strict standards, they are resistant to extreme temperatures, humidity, and can withstand high levels of ESD and vibration.
