200MT Application Field and Working Principle

Working Principle

When the circuit is energized, current flows through the fuse contact structure, the time-delay element, and the contacts. Due to the construction of the time-delay element, when an overcurrent or short-circuit occurs, the fuse will not immediately blow due to the time-delay element providing a buffer. The time-delay element is composed of a metal rod, a wire, and a resettable bimetal within a sealed glass body, so that when the heat generated by the current is greater than the heat capacity of the glass body, the bimetal will expand, opening the contacts and breaking the circuit, thus preventing further damage.
