These materials act to absorb the electromagnetic energy, thereby preventing it from further propagating and causing undesired affects.In designing an effective shielding and absorbing material, many materials, sizes, and shapes can often be found in order to meet the needs of the application. A variety of metals can be used as a shielding material and can be found in metal sheets, metal coating, mesh and wire. The size and shape of the shielding material will depend upon the size and shape of the particular application.When it comes to absorbing materials, some of the commonly used agents are ferrite cores and beads, metallized polyester films, fabric laminates and aluminum chips. These materials can be molded into various shapes and sizes in order to meet the application requirements.
