The 219-3-7268-143 circuit breaker utilizes both electromechanical and electronic components to provide its quick-make and quick-trip capabilities. When an overload current is detected, an electromechanical bimetal element is instantly triggered, providing the breaker with a quick trip capability. The bimetal element is then able to separate the two poles of the breaker, thus preventing further current from being conducted.
