The male pin has three pins which have a diameter of 0.38 mm and are separated by a gap of 0.6 mm. It is designed to provide a corrosion resistant connection with an operating temperature from -40 degrees F to +212 degrees F and a maximum voltage rating of 250V. The high temperature from the male pin is due to its gold plating which is corrosion resistant as well as providing an electrical connection of 500 mV/V. The male pins are maintained in the header using a high torque locking mechanism to maintain the connection even when subjected to severe shocks or vibrations.
