24-6501-30 Application Field and Working Principle

24-6501-30 socket is widely used in power amplifier, DC/DC converter, filter, pre-amplifier and audio amplifier applications. Its applies to static inductance components, semi-conductive optoelectronic components, heat sink components, power integrated circuits and other components.

This socket covers high current applications with contact connection. An air dielectric impedance element is used between the contacts to minimize contact problems caused by current commutation.

Working principle:

  1. Establish an electric connection: When the contacts are closed the current generates a magnetic field that attracts metal powder particles and creates a metallic bridge between the contacts at this point.
  2. Keep a stable electric connection: This connection is very robust and stable, making it suitable for use in high current and dynamic applications.
  3. Provide a high power density: Its connection force allows this socket to provide a relatively high contact power density.
