Dale 2512-122G is a common commercial grade fixed inductor utilized in a variety of electronics applications. It is a generally reliable component with few exceptions. The 2512-122G inductor is a tight-tolerance part with a physical footprint that is suitable for automated assembly.

The working principle of the 2512-122G is based on Lenz’s law. Lenz’s law states that an induced current will flow in a conductor when subjected to an external magnetic field. The current induced in the 2512-122G creates a magnetic field that opposes the change in the external magnetic field. This opposing magnetic field in turn resists the change in the external magnetic field, thereby creating an inductance.
