It is often used in consumer electronics and electrical appliances, making it an integral part of systems using multiple wires and connections.When integrated into the design of a printed circuit board, 282855-3 terminal blocks provide a reliable, secured and space-saving connection solution, while allowing for easy servicing and maintenance. Connecting two PCBs together requires the use of two terminal blocks, one for each side. The two sides of a terminal block system are referred to as “clamp” and “receiver”, due to the clamping action of the terminal block being secured to both sides of the board.The terminal block system consists of an insulated metal housing and several electrical contacts. The contacts are generally made of copper or brass, and the insulation between contacts is made of durable PVC. These components offer superior electrical connection performance, compared to traditional insulated wire-to-board connectors.282855-3 terminal blocks can be used in a variety of applications, such as computers, telecommunication networks, and industrial control systems. The screwless design of the terminal block alloys for a secure connection that is easy to install and maintain, hence it is widely used in many applications.In terms of working principle, each connection terminal is composed of two parts: a receiver on one side of the printed circuit board (PCB) and a clamp on the other. The clamp side is fitted with an insulation material to prevent electrical shorts. The clamping action of the terminal block creates a connection between the wire and the terminal, which eliminates any contact problems that might occur from thermal expansion or vibration.
