When an electrical current is applied to the terminal, it triggers electrons to flow from the source to the device, which in turn can cause an electric arc. For instance, when a solar panel is used to power an industrial device, the electrons must transfer from the solar panel to the device terminal in order to generate energy for the device. The electrons are transferred from the solar panel to the terminal block, thus creating a voltage drop. The voltage drop is then passed through the poles of the terminal block, and the electrons travel through the wires to the device, thus providing the electrical current required for the device to operate.
