Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) are two of the most common forms of electromagnetic interference (EMI) which can interfere with the operation of any electronic device or system. Shielding and absorbing materials are used to help protect against both RFI and EMI in electronic systems.
Shielding and absorbing materials are designed to absorb, divert, or limit energy from RFI and EMI sources. Shielding materials interact with the electromagnetic waves in such a way that the energy is either stopped, diverted to ground, or partially reflected.
