The 383-2SURC/S400-A6 discrete LED indication lamp is a semiconductor device that emits light when supplied with an electrical current. The light is generated when electrons flow through the LED’s semiconductor junction. The LED functions as a narrow band gap p-n junction diode that emits visible radiation when its internal electric field exceeds the breakdown value and electrons are injected into the P-region.
