Fuses

3JS 500 Application Field and Working Principle

The 3JS 500 is an ultra-miniature high-performance fuse designed for use in a wide variety of demanding electronic applications. It is one of the smallest 0.500 ampere fuses available, yet it has an incredible amount of features that make it ideal for a wide range of application areas. It is available in 4, 6 and 8 pole configurations to fit any application.

The 3JS 500 is a self-actuated electronic fuse that actuates in less than 1/10 of an ampere. Its small size and fast acting characteristics make it ideal for use in portable electronic equipment and other small devices. It is designed to protect electronic components from the effects of electrical overcurrents and has a rated current of 0.500 amperes. It has a melting speed of 200°C and is rated for an operating voltage of up to 32 volts.

The 3JS 500 has a built-in thermal overload protection feature that disconnects it from the circuit when it exceeds the maximum current rating. It is temperature compensated for reliable performance and has a “shrinking” switching time. The built-in thermal overload protection feature ensures that circuit components remain well-protected during overcurrent occurrences.

The 3JS 500 has a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C and has a high surge current capability of up to 32 amperes. It is UL listed, CE, RoHS and CCC listed and is manufactured with flame retardant material for additional safety.
