RF Directional Couplers are used in a wide range of applications that require transmission of high frequency signals between two points. Similarly, a signal applied to Port B causes a current to flow in the reciprocal winding which results in a signal at Port A. In addition, the current in the winding is measured, allowing the forward and reverse signal levels to be determined at the C and D ports. This process allows the 4014C-6 to accurately measure a signal in a forward or reverse direction over a wide range of frequencies.
