Panel Indicators, Pilot Lights
Panel indicators, pilot lights indicate in a clear and visual manner the state of the processes or equipment being monitored. The 405-LRG60H-NGO, also referred to as a “bicolor illuminated indicator”, is ideal for visual indication of the “on/off”, “yes/no” or “up/down” status of a process or system.
The 405-LRG60H-NGO consists of two power taut bands, with a LED installed in the middle between them. When the LED is off, red and green LED are off, together indicating the “no” state. When the LED is on, one of the LEDs indicates the “yes” state, either green or red. The 405-LRG60H-NGO also comes with a latching switch assembly which allows user to switch between two LEDs much easier. This function is used to signal multiple systems, which require set transition or "yes/no" display.
This indicator can be used in industrial, medical, as well as domestic settings. It is widely used in applications such as fire/smoke/carbon monoxide/air quality alarm indicators, doorbells, medical emergency alerting systems, and motor starter indications.
The 405-LRG60H-NGO’s working principle is quite simple. The two power taut bands work together to indicate the “yes/no” or “on/off” states. When the indicator is off, the LEDs are off, and when it is on, one LED will be on and the other will be off. The current flows through the indicator, and depending on the adjustment of the taut bands, either one or both of the LEDs will turn on. The LEDs will turn off when the current is no longer flowing.
The LEDs will usually be connected to a voltage source and an electric motor, and the power source is connected to the indicator. The indicator has two wires, which indicate the “on/off” status of the indicator. When the motor is on, the voltage will be applied to one of the wires, and the indicator will be in the “on” position if this voltage passes through the indicator. In the “off” position, the other wire will be connected to ground which will turn off the indicator.
The 405-LRG60H-NGO’s two power taut bands are adjusted to different levels for each LED to allow the LEDs to turn on or off depending on the voltage applied. The indicator also contains a latching switch which can be used to switch between the two LEDs for more flexibility.
The 405-LRG60H-NGO is a reliable and cost-effective solution for indicating the status of any process or system. The indicator is capable of indicating the “yes/no” or “on/off” states quickly and with minimal maintenance.
