The 416F44013CTT is an Aerospace-Grade Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) designed and manufactured by Point Resources Ltd. The aim of the 416F44013CTT is to provide accurate, repeatable and dynamic readings of: position, velocity, acceleration, angular velocity and direction. The 416F44013CTT is extremely robust and reliable, containing multiple shock and vibration tolerant components, as well as components that offer superior temperature performance for all application fields.

Highly reliable and accurate data is essential in most aerospace environments, especially as manufacturers strive to maintain an optimum level of safety. The 416F44013CTT has been designed to meet these demands, being constructed using the highest grade materials available and being tested to meet the most arduous standards.

The 416F44013CTT can be used in a variety of different applications, ranging from civilian flight operations, to UAV control systems, to aerospace research. This IMU can also be utilized for a variety of other applications such as; tracking vehicles, measuring distance travelled and monitoring seismic activity.

Working Principle

The 416F44013CTT works by utilizing an inertial measurement unit (IMU). This IMU is composed of 6 axes of MEMS sensors, each of these sensors providing excellent accuracy and repeatability. The 416F44013CTT contains three distinct acceleration sensors, two gyroscopes, a magnetometer and extra temperature sensors. Together these individual components gather and process the data allowing the 416F44013CTT to calculate and offer the highly accurate trajectory data mentioned previously.

The IMU works by utilizing a combination of integrators which quickly measure the respective acceleration of each degree of freedom. These measurements are then used in conjunction with the angular velocity information to create an accurate position and orientation representation. This data can be used to measure displacement, navigation, 3D orientation and attitude.

The 416F44013CTT also contains additional sensors and components which are used to provide additional information, such as temperature readings, accelerometer sensor temperature data and temperature acceleration outputs. All this data can be accessed and correctly formulated via the included user interface, which will also allow for in-depth analysis of the gathered data.
