Programmable oscillators have become an integral part of modern circuitry and digital systems. The 511DBB-BBAG is ideal for a variety of applications, including clock synthesizers, phase lock loops, frequency synthesizers, digital filters, waveform generators and embedded digital controllers. It can be used for both sampling and delay applications, as well as for generating 0-5V logic signals for digital logic systems. The 511DBB-BBAG is capable of outputting frequencies from 10Hz to 70MHz, with a minimum guaranteed frequency accuracy of better than 0.5%.

The working principle of the 511DBB-BBAG is based on the use of a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO). By applying a DC control voltage to the input of the oscillator, the output frequency can be precisely tuned. The frequency of the oscillator can be further adjusted using a rheostat or potentiometer.
