515BCA250M000BAGR oscillator is a lead-free, four-pad surface mount oscillator with a wide range of applications which includes programmable logic, ASIC control, PCs,DSP/FPGA/CPLD, Networking and Security, VoIP and test & measurement instrumentation.

The 515BCA250M000BAGR is a digital limit oscillator designed to automatically switch between two frequencies with a defined 90° phase difference within their limits. It is equipped with a low-noise output driver making it suitable for driving current sink and high impedance loads. In addition, its low-jitter and low-noise output make it suitable for clock recovery and clock distribution applications.

This device supports a high level of I/O protection making it ideal for applications in harsh environments such as industrial automation. Its power isolation circuit also ensures low power consumption with minimal interference.

In terms of its working principle, the 515BCA250M000BAGR is based on a modified Colpitts oscillator circuit composed of three main components: a quartz crystal resonator, an operational amplifier and a feedback network. The quartz crystal works as an acoustic transducer, converting the gathered input waveform (either mechanical impulse or current signal) into an electrical signal. This signal is then amplified by the operational amplifier and then fed back as an output signal to the quartz crystal resonator through the feedback network. This feedback loop allows the oscillator to be self-sustaining, creating a stable frequency signal that can be used for various applications.
