The 530FC250M000DGR Oscillator, from FM Hztronics, is an ultra-low-frequency, high-performance oscillator. This oscillator is based on a ceramic-filled piezoelectric resonator and operates in either a continuous or intermittent mode. In its continuous operating mode, the oscillator generates a sine wave output signal at the selected frequencies. In its intermittent operating mode, the oscillator produces a square wave, low current, low noise output. To generate this output, the oscillator uses an output driver that works by changing the resistance of a field-effect transistor in order to control the output voltage.

The oscillator makes use of two capacitors to determine the resonance frequency of the piezoelectric resonator. One of the capacitors is connected to the resonator\'s input and the other to its output. A feedback circuit is used to maintain the voltage across the piezoelectric resonator, providing stability and self-regulation that is maintained even during changes in temperature and component aging. In this process, the output amplitude is adjusted electronically.
