Toggle Switches
Toggle switches are common control devices in mechanical, electrical, and computer control systems. These switches are designed to handle high-current flow, require minimal effort to operate, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Toggle switches come in both single-pole, double-pole and three-pole configurations and may have anywhere from one to four connections. One common application for a toggle switch is in a car, where the switch is used to control the headlights.
The 7201P3Y1AV2ME is a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) toggle switch. It is used to control the ON/OFF function of a load. This switch has connecting terminals on either side of the toggle, with the middle terminal connecting to the load. To turn on the circuit, the toggle is moved to the left to move the middle terminal to the left side terminal, closing the circuit and allowing current to flow. To turn the circuit off, the toggle is moved to the right, moving the middle terminal to the right side terminal, breaking the connection and stopping the current flow.
The 7201P3Y1AV2ME toggle switch is designed to handle up to 5A at 250V AC load. This switch has a dielectric strength of 1500V AC and an insulation resistance of 1000MΩ minimum. A wide range of applications can benefit from this switch, including domestic appliances, medical equipment, industial machines and automotive vehicles.
This switch also offers a variety of options. It is available in several actuator styles, with different color options, lever tips, and LED illumination. The 7201P3Y1AV2ME is UL, CSA, ENEC, and VDE approved and is RoHS compliant.
The 7201P3Y1AV2ME toggle switch is an excellent choice when it comes to choosing an SPTD switch that boasts maximum performance and offers variable options. It is easy to install and is designed to handle high current flow, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of automotive, industrial, and domestic applications.
