Working Principle

The 7201TZGI is a spring loaded toggle switch that operates on a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) contact mechanism. When the switch is in the "On" position, the movable contact moves upward, connecting the two terminals and allowing current to flow. When the switch is in the "Off" position, the movable contact moves downward to break the connection between the two terminals and shutting off current.

The switch is composed of a contact, a movable lever, a spring, and a terminal cover. When the toggle switch is in the "Off" position, the spring is in its relaxed state, pushing the lever downwards and keeping the movable contact away from the other two terminals. When the switch is moved to the "On" position, the spring is compressed and the movable contact is pushed upward to connect the two terminals, allowing current to pass between them.

The switch is also equipped with a terminal cover that protects the movable contacts and terminals from external elements and unintentional users. It is designed to keep the toggle switch free of dust and debris, ensuring a long lifetime and reliable performance.
