This status bit is referred to as the FIFO-State bit, which can have one of four states (Unfilled, Filled, Empty or Full) indicating the status of the FIFO memory.Finally, the L40DB also includes a self-resetting reset switch, which resets the memory\'s status bit - and thereby the FIFO memory itself - back to the Unfilled state. This reset switch comes in handy for occasions when the memory needs to be reset without the need for software intervention.Overall, the 7203L40DB FIFO memory component is designed to be highly compact, efficient and easy-to-use.
