Working Principle
The 72275L15PFI FIFO consists of a write buffer, a read buffer, and address counters to track data flow in and out of the device. The write buffer is used to record incoming data streams into the memory cells, and the read buffer for receiving data stored in the memory cells for processing. The address counters manage the data flow, keeping record of the current addresses for both the read and write operations.
Data access is enabled through synchronous Rapid I/O input/output signals. An active-high write enable (WE) signal is used to write data from the device\'s data bus into the write buffer. After valid data is written into the write buffer, the write address is incremented by one by an internal write address counter which holds the addresses of the write and read operations.
The read buffer contains the address of the memory cell which is currently being read from. When a valid read operation is initiated, the read address is incremented by one and the data contained in the memory cell is read and sent to the output data bus. This operation continues until the last valid address is reached and the FIFO reaches empty condition.
