Logic gates are devices which perform logical operations on one or more logic inputs and produce a single logic output. There are several types of logic gates, ranging from simple OR and AND gates to complex look-up tables and complex logic functions. The 74AUP2G32GT-115 device is an example of a monolithic CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) circuit, sometimes referred to as an "Integrated Circuit". This device is a 16- input 8-output multiplexer/demultiplexer logic circuit, which has the ability to switch between two or more logic inputs and two or more logic outputs. This device can be used wherever logic multiplexing or switching operations are desired. The 74AUP2G32GT-115 contains the equivalent of 16 single-input NAND gates in four separate banks. Each bank can select one of four input signals and can deliver any combination of two of the input signals at a time. The device can also select different combinations of the four inputs for each output. The 74AUP2G32GT-115 multiplexer/demultiplexer device enables logic functions to be performed with fewer pins and less board area. Its logic functions range from OR, AND, NOR and NAND operations to data transmission and multiplexing operations. It is particularly well-suited for applications where the output logic waveforms are short, such as in logic comparators or logic sequencers.This device consists of two identical 4-input multiplexer/demultiplexer circuits with complementary outputs. Each multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit has four logic input pins and two logic output pins. The two multiplexer/demultiplexer circuits are connected by two data input pins which receive control signals from external logic sources. The two data input pins can be used to select any combination of two of the four input signals for each multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit.The 74AUP2G32GT-115 device has the capability to switch between two logic inputs, allowing logic functions to be performed with fewer pins and less board area.
