The 74F245SJX is a general purpose bus transceiver with the flow-through architecture and is designed for asynchronous two-way communication between data buses. It offers full-duplex bidirectional data transfer, essentially allowing data to be sent and received simultaneously on both the data and enable lines. It also allows devices on the same data and enable buses to broadcast both data and control information simultaneously.

Part of the Fictron family, the 74F245SJX is a high-speed 3-state buffer that consists of 8 independent non-inverting buffers with 3-state outputs. The device is used to connect two bidirectional buses, both data and control, with separate active low enables. These buffers feature bus hold and active pull-ups for sustained operation over the entire power supply and temperature ranges.

The 74F245SJX\'s logic level shift capability makes it suitable for providing full logic level compatibility over a variety of systems.
