It is a member of the Texas Instruments 74LCXH family of logic devices. The device is capable of handling up to 32kbps of data at a maximum operating frequency of 25MHz and may be used in high speed memory systems, multiplexers, and other digital applications.The 74LCXH16245TTR provides an 8-bit bidirectional data port, with control signals for input/output select, write enable, and output enable. The 8-bit wide port provides 8 levels of TTL voltage (VIL/VIH) compatible with 3V, 3.3V, or 5V TTL logic. Thewrite enable (WEN) signal enables the input data to be stored in the bidirectional latch. The output enable (OEN) signal selects either the data from the bidirectional latch or the data from the buffer.The 74LCXH16245TTR contains five logic functions which are capable of operating at up to 25MHz. These five functions include buffered data storage, output enable/output disable, write enable/disable, 8-bit latch, and 8-bit inverter. The buffered data storage function provides for a high-speed data storage system. The output enable/disable function enables the user to select between two sources of data, either the bidirectional latch or the buffer. The write enable/disable function allows the user to store data in the latch when the write enable signal is active. The 8-bit latch provides data storage and retrieval while the 8-bit inverter allows the user to invert the data on the latch.The 74LCXH16245TTR can be used as a digital user interface or feedback control interface. It is capable of driving digital logic, such as a logic display terminal, or a microprocessor or microcontroller based system. Additionally, the 74LCXH16245TTR can be used for other types of digital logic systems such as multiplexers, demultiplexers, and logic level converters.The 74LCXH16245TTR is manufactured using a highly reliable dielectric-substrate process to provide better than expected performance and reliability.
